PASTOR JOSEPH PEREA

Pastor Joseph Perea faithfully worked in youth ministry for fifteen years before becoming the Senior Pastor at House of Prayer Church. He has built some of the largest multicultural youth ministries in the country. Having served as Youth Pastor at World Harvest Church under Pastor Rod Parsley, in Columbus, Ohio, with a weekly attendance of 1,400 young people. Pastor Perea also served under Bishop Dennis Leonard at Heritage Christian Center in Denver, Colorado. Along his side for the journey are his lovely wife, Rosa and his two children Michael and Raquel.


In January 2002, Bishop Dennis Leonard of Heritage Christian Center in Denver, Colorado, sent Pastor Perea and his family to Tampa, Florida, to begin his first church plant. This God ordained mandate also called numerous other families from around the country to assist in the building of this church. The first worship service began in the home of Pastor Perea on February 3, 2002. Since then House of Prayer has moved to several other locations in order to accommodate its exponential growth.


Our doctrine is summarized in the following scriptures:

WE BELIEVE... in the blessed awesome Father God, the Maker of Heaven and Earth. Gen. 1:1

WE BELIEVE... in Jesus Christ being the Son of God, the Word made flesh.

WE BELIEVE... in the blessed Holy Ghost, the third person of the trinity.
John 16:7

WE BELIEVE... in salvation through Jesus Christ who provided the supreme sacrifice for sin. John 3:3

WE BELIEVE... in the in-filling of the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:1-4

WE BELIEVE... in speaking of other tongues as the spirit gives utterance. Acts 2:4

WE BELIEVE... in the pastoral leadership of this church. Jer. 3:15

WE BELIEVE... in the doctrine of leadership. Mark 1:16-18

WE BELIEVE... in the mandate of making disciples..Matt. 28:18-20

WE BELIEVE... in the church being established to overcome the enemy in the last and evil day. Matt. 16:18

WE BELIEVE... in divine healing though through the power and name of Jesus Christ. Isa. 53:5

WE BELIEVE... that the tithe (10% of gross income) belongs to the church.
